simPRO is constantly evolving. Due to the growing number of companies choosing to implement simPRO to help them run their business more efficiently we are always coming across new and better ways to get the job done.
March’s Tips & Tricks include – RECS/VECS, Custom Client Fields, Plant Upgrades, Call Centre Upgrades, Employee Preferences
RECS / VEECS
A while ago the government announced an Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) and part of that involved trading Renewable Energy Credits from items used to offset carbon emissions generated by some of the big boys. However for the contractor managing the POS for these RECS (and in Victoria also the VEECS – Victorian Energy Efficiency Credits) was next to impossible.
To help alleviate the problem for our clients we have developed simPRO to be able to track the RECS (and VEECs) (more…)

With the South Australian User Forum coming up on the 24th of this month, it seems timely to reflect on what development ideas came out of the first forum held in Perth last year, and how they are benefiting simPRO users.
A lot of great ideas came out of Western Australia in November last year, and judging by the enthusiasm from those coming to the SA forum there will be a lot more. If you are based in South Australia and have not yet RSVP’d to come along please do so – it is a great day and excellent opportunity to have a say in the direction of the system managing your business.
One of the development ideas from Perth that has been released is the single page for job creation/scheduling, the Call Centre Module. The Call Centre Module enables high volumes of calls to be logged, scheduled and dispatched all from a single screen. (more…)

February’s development areas include – Google calendar updates, Task upgrades, Import clients/suppliers/locations, Ultra mobile upgrades, Decimal part quantities on Prebuilds, One-off item updates
Google calendars updates
When sending calendar appointments from simPRO they are now compatible with both Outlook calendar appointments and Google calendar appointments. Watch this space, over the coming months there will be a lot more integration work happening with various Google components (like the recently released Google maps integration). (more…)

With the release of windows7 and with 64-bit operating systems becoming more prevalent, the accounting links and installers have been updated.
